Long before the term "Maker" was popular, Michiana had the original "Makers". Our RV and Automotive industries being in close proximity to Detroit means we have some of the top Tool and Die Makers. These skills are still vibrant and our community has developed "Makers" in the medical industry as well. We were the home of Miles, Bayer, Whitehall and currently share the area with Zimmer and Biomet.
